Children's Ministry
Michele Mahon coordinates our Youth’s Ministry.
My name is Michele Mahon, Youth Worker at Westbourne Park Baptist Church and Westbourne Park Family Centre. Having trained at Oasis UK, I joined WPBC in 2005 to be part of this vibrant Christian community.
Our Youth work consists of a weekly social (and fun!) youth club called W2, an outreach to the youth of our community from local estates, a Detached Project reaching out to young people on the streets based on the Warwick Estate, a girls' project that runs alongside the Youth Club, and our vibrant Sunday ministry to Christian youth.
We have young people aged 11-19 from a variety of backgrounds, reflecting the makeup of our community in inner-city London. We are also linked with Westminster Youth Service, the London Baptist Association and other local charities and community organisations, frequently doing joint projects to widen our scope.
We love drama, sports, trips, dance, friends, games, residentials, Jesus, cooking, learning, praying together and organising events for both our church and our community! So why not join in with the fun?!
We have a Youth Church once a month - on Friday evenings, and are planning a trip to Soul Survivor in the summer!
